Bones was once a renowned planetary scholar. He came to the Badlands as a pioneer with plans to study the planet's ecosystem. His plans were disrupted when Newcom forced him into their service. Even so, he remained inquisitive about the planet's flora and fauna. He had no intention of giving up on his research.
